YouTuber and singer-songwriter Dodie Clark, also known as Dodie, brings her UK tour to Newcastle’s O2 academy next month, following the release of her EP, Intertwined, back in November. Since starting her YouTube channel, doddleoddle in 2011, aged just sixteen, Dodie has become an internet star, with her main channel currently having over 800k followers. From original songs and covers to chatty vlog-style videos, Dodie’s warmth and endearing honesty has made her extremely popular in the YouTube community. Her first ever EP includes studio versions of ‘Absolutely Smitten’ and the incredibly touching ‘Sick of Losing Soulmates’, songs originally posted on her channel. The songs have translated beautifully in the recordings, with the raw, tender tone of her voice remaining perfectly complimented by the classic ukulele chords we all know and love her for. Also included on the EP is ‘I Have A Hole In My Tooth (And My Dentist is Shut)’, proving Dodie’s wonderful creative versatility and lack of fear for breaking the mold. New songs include ‘Life Lesson’, and a flawless live version of ‘When’, assuring the lucky fans with tickets to this sold-out gig that they are in for a real treat.
